POSITION OBJECTIVE:
To establish, and manage the Quality Assurance System. Provide guidance
and administer the ISO 9000 Quality Management System. Assist in the
management and the achievement of the Company's objectives and goals.
This position is responsible for reducing product deficiency reduction,
rejected purchased material supplier correction action process,
manufacturing rework and repairs, and product warranty cost. This
position is also responsible for directing and supervising quality
engineers and auditors in accordance with the Quality Management
Systems. Analyze and identify basic causes for complaints and failures
in the field and in the manufacturing process for recommended corrective
action. Provide leadership and mentoring for quality function within
the site and resulting staff employees.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the operation of the Mocksville quality department
- Guide the development of the ISO 9000 compliance
- Manage first article inspection program
- Lead Supplier Quality Assurance Program
- Lead and investigate corrective action of manufacturing and customer
reported non-conformances.
Special Task/Project:
- Administer the ISO 9000 Quality Management System
- Mentor and Lead associates at varying levels within the organization.

Education Standard: Bachelor's
Education Type: Engineering or equivalent
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding and leadership capability related to ISO
processes.
- Skilled in blueprint reading.
- Experience in machining environment utilizing cast iron and steel
processing equipment, 5-axis equipment and other metal forming/shaping
equipment holding micron level tolerances.
- Extensive knowledge of GD & T.
- Basic knowledge of parts and features which may be critical in
application.
- Ability to establish supplier quality systems and corrective action
processes resulting in operational improvements.
- Skilled and capable of selecting and using various measuring
equipment.
- Knowledge of computer data system.
- Extensive Leadership of quality organizations.
- Knowledge of lean six sigma.
Formal Education Requirement:
BS degree in engineering or related field. MS or MBA preferred
